Happy Thanksgiving!

As the big day approaches, I am getting more and more excited about cooking dinner at home. In today's difficult economic times, this is one occasion that makes me feel very well off -- the ability to make a BIG traditional Thanksgiving feast in my own home and have enough to share with others -- what a blessing!

Be sure to count your blessings and enjoy the Holiday. You are most likely more blessed than you realize.

I made these autumn leaf cookies for my daughter's school. (She's the teacher, not the student!) They're sugar cookies covered with fondant that I marbled in Fall colors and lightly sprinkled with coordinating sanding sugar. Delicious!

Keeping My Promise -- sort of

OK. So maybe it doesn't actually qualify as a cool pic, but I did get a graphic up for my banner. Primitive, I know, but a start. Here you are again, my lovelies; another meager entry to my upstart blog. Now, GO VOTE!!!

Another Day, Another Post

All of my favorite blogs have lots and lots of pictures. Mine has none. Today, I just wanted to enter a new post to get in the habit of regularly updating my page. So this is my post for today. Thanks for noticing me. Later, a real post and (maybe) some cool pics.

Well, here I go!

Not wanting to be the last on my block with my own blog, I am taking the plunge and starting my page. This, of course, is a work in progress — so please be kind and bear with me.
